Membership is by application

Applying does not make you a member. Every application is read by our team, and we may accept or decline any application at our discretion. We will tell you either way.

Membership is personal to you and cannot be transferred or shared.

Billing

In-person membership is an application. Our team reads it before anything is charged.

Online membership renews monthly until you cancel. Where you bought it decides who bills you and where you cancel: bought on this website, it is billed by us through Stripe and you cancel in the billing portal, reachable from your profile. Bought in the iPhone app, it is billed by Apple and you cancel in Settings on your device — we cannot cancel an Apple subscription for you, and neither can our team.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not refund the period you are already in, and you keep access until that period ends.

Some memberships are given rather than sold, through an invite code. Those do not renew and nothing is charged for them.

If prices change we will tell you before the change affects you.

The space and events

In-person membership includes access to the space during member hours and to in-person events. Online membership includes the community, livestreamed and online events, and the library.

Bookings are held for you. If you cannot attend, cancel so the place can go to someone on the waitlist. Repeatedly booking and not attending may affect your ability to book.

The community

The forum is part of the club and the same standards apply. Write as you would speak in the room. We may remove posts and, in serious cases, end a membership.

What is said by members in the club and in the forum stays there. Do not republish it elsewhere.

Ending a membership

You can leave at any time, and you can delete your account in the app from Profile. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an Apple subscription — cancel that in Settings on your device.

We may end a membership for conduct that puts other members or the space at risk, or for a serious breach of these terms. Where it is fair to do so we will refund the unused part of what you have paid.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially we will tell members before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
